…the helper is unwell. As a helper, the hard work isn’t helping others like you do when you’re a mother or father, a therapist, a healthcare professional, someone who works in service to others. The hard work isn’t being at work for hours on end or burning out from an unbearable workload.

The hard work is our own personal work. Developing and moving through a therapeutic process.
